Giving Back - FOOTLOOSE

Ok, so I open my e-mails and I find one that says “Beaders’ Give Back Week”. I open it up and it is about a local bead shop collecting beads, beading supplies, craft supplies, paper, markers, crayons or anything bead- or craft-related to donate to Polinsky Children’s Center. Polinsky Children’s Center is a local place for children who are in foster care. Like many crafter, no matter what the craft, you hoard supplies like it’s the end of the world. I know because, I’m one of them. I thought this is the perfect time to get rid of things, but with a purpose, to give back to the community. So as I’m going thru my stash and getting rid of things like paper, stickers, ribbon, and more. I see a few paper packs that are not worth giving because the paper isn’t a whole sheet, that it is really nothing but scraps of paper. So I challenged myself to actually use the paper and not just throw it away. This is what I came up with. The paper is already discontinued so you can’t order it anymore, but I thought I would post it anyway so you can get some ideas to do with your own scraps. Hope you like them.

Here is the second one.

And the third one.

Here is the third one open, so you can see the cutout on the top.

I was able to make 4 of each card, so 12 cards total and use all the scrap except for 2 zip strips.
