White Pines Pallet Christmas Tree

I work at a middle school with Special Needs children. One of the things they like to do is work in a garden. They love to water the plants not to mention dig in the dirt.
These are what our garden boxes looked like at the end of the last school year.
A dear friend of mine name Gail, with the help of her husband Richard has been getting me pallets a few at a time. Everything I read about pallets, says you can get them for free and are easy to find. Not so, in California. If is wasn't for them, I don't think I would have been able to build them. So a BIG shout out to them. THANK YOU!!!!! My students love them.

I have been replacing them one at a time with the help of my son. He has been working very hard pulling them apart for me. The pallets were so hard to take apart, but we finally have a way that works for us.

And a wonderful dad, who has been helping me build them. To date he has helped me with four of them. I would still like to make at least two more.

So, after all the cutting and taking apart, this is what I was left with.

I then cut the wood. I cut the first piece to 4 inches and went up 2 inches until I got to 12 inches. I also sanded all the pieces until they were smooth.

Here is the finished Christmas Tree.

Hope you enjoy my pallet Christmas Tree. I had fun making it.
